This volume contains a summary of the main findings and recommendations of the research undertaken as part of the Social History of the Welsh Language project. The aim of the work was to sample public opinion and assemble evidence concerning the relationship between tourism, in-migration and language use in north-west Wales, an extremely popular tourist region which is also considered to be one of the heartlands of the Welsh language. The fieldwork was undertaken in three communities, namely Llanberis (Arfon), Llanengan (Dwyfor) and Llanfair Mathafarn Eithaf (Anglesey).
