This volume contains an edition of thirteen poems written by four poets from Anglesey, namely Sefnyn, Rhisierdyn, Gruffudd Fychan ap Gruffudd ab Ednyfed and Llywarch Bentwrch. There are elegies and praise poems sung on the cywydd and the awdl metres to important patrons such as Goronwy Fychan ap Tudur and his wife Myfanwy from Penmynydd, Hywel ap Goronwy ap Tudur Hen who was Archdeacon of Anglesey, Sir Hywel ap Gruffudd and Dafydd Fychan ap Dafydd Llwyd of Trehwfa and Trefeilir. There is an edition of a long and interesting religious poem written by Gruffudd Fychan and a cywydd requesting a harp from Rhisiart ap Sir Rhosier Pilstwn of Emral in Maelor.
